Hawthorn Farm Village Homeowners are congenial, friendly people who like to do things together. Many friendships have been forged in this neighborhood over the years. We value good neighbors; many of us have been friends for over 30 years. HFV Homeowners are willing to help each other out and work hard to keep our neighborhoods clean and beautiful. Spontaneous potlucks may happen in the summer months where we have cook-out contests, lawnmower races and children's activities. We have a number of groups that you may like to join if you are or should become a homeowner in Hawthorn Farm Village.

Halloween

Bird Watching

This area has an outstanding number of species of birds; we are still finding more all the time. We meet on Sunday mornings when it is most quiet so we can hear the songs and follow them to see the author of this pleasant morning melody.

Boating and Fishing

You don't have to own a boat to go boating or fishing. The homeowners who are fortunate enough to own a boat usually invite non-boat owners along on the excursion.

Cycling

We usually meet early at the Hillsboro Main Library to follow the trails, away from traffic, and among the ponds and wildlife. Other times there may be excursions further out on the numerous country bike paths and farm roads.

Hawthorn Farm Village Singles

We do good deeds in the neighborhood, like deliver newsletters, sponsor children's events, potlucks, help our disabled neighbors with their yardwork, maintenance and we provide rides to their doctor appoints when we can.

Walkers

We meet each evening to walk around our beautiful neighborhood, greet our neighbors and get a rigorous work-out. We may bring our pets on a leash and, of course, a pick-up bag for lawn fudge. Sometimes we may extend our walk to include the beautiful trails around the Main Hillsboro Library and sometimes we end our walk with a cup of tea at New Seasons adjacent to Sunset Downs.
