Amenities

Hawthorn Farm Village is a lovely area nestled in the Silicon Forest. Homes are so desirable here because everything a person needs in life is within walking or cycling distance. Many people walk to work in the morning and then take a stroll through the park on their lunch break. Most of the lot sizes are much larger than most current homesites.

Quality of Life

This is a peaceful neighborhood and because we value our neighbors' serenity. While neither a law nor a CC&R, but as a long-standing courtesy to others, we discourage starting lawnmowers, trimmers, chainsaws and other noisy equipment until after 10 a.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Our neighbors honor this tradition with a few exceptions. During hot weather, neighbors may need to mow in the early-morning hours when it is cool. Contractors also may have to start early in the morning to do roofing or remodeling.

Thanks to the Metro boundary, our farmlands are still intact; we are able to cycle or drive in the beautiful countryside, replete with flowers and greenery.

Many banks and credit unions are within walking distance, First Tech Credit Union is just across Cornell from Sunset Downs.
